PHP 4.4.8 Released [03-Jan-2008] The PHP development team would like to announce the immediate availability of PHP 4.4.8. It continues to improve the security and the stability of the 4.4 branch and all users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to it as soon as possible. This release wraps up all the outstanding patches for the PHP 4.4 series, and is therefore the last normal PHP 4.4 release. If necessary, releases to address security issues could be made until 2008-08-08.
这段话的大致意思是说4.4.8继续改进了4.4分支的安全性和稳定性并推荐所有用户尽快升级到此版本。这个发布版包括了4.4系列所有重要的补丁，是4.4系列的最后一个正式Release。如果必要的话，发送到邮件列表的安全通知将会继续到2008-8-8。
